Celebrated English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams wrote this set of songs for choir, baritone soloist and orchestra, with reflective texts by the 17th century poet George Herbert. The University Choir and Choral Union along with baritone soloist Timothy Schmidt will be featured. The exciting talents of the 2012—2013 winners of the collegiate Concerto and Aria Competition and the pre-college Rising Star Competition will also be presented.
